John 8: 31, 32; Hosea 6: 3; 2 Timothy 2: 15; Romans 8: 1-9; 2 Timothy 2: 2; Ephesians
4: 1-16; Philippians 3: 7- 15. These scripture speaks of going on in God. they talk of knowing God on a level
that only continuing in the words that Jesus taught. They speak of getting to know The Lord. So the jourey that I am on the
journey of every man is about knowing God as God has choose to reveal Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
John 8: 31, 32,"31-Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my
word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32-And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Hosea 6: 3, "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared
as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth."
2 Timothy 2: 15, "15- Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
.2 Timothy 2: 2, "2- And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same
commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."
Philippians 3: 7-15, "7- But what things were
gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8- Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ
Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9- And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which
is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10- That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings,
being made conformable unto his death;
11- If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12- Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that
I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13- Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14- I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15- Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise
minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16- Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the
same thing.
17- Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
18- (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are
the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19- Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who
mind earthly things.)
19- For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus
Christ:
20- Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according
to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."
Romans 8: 1-9, "1-There is therefore
now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2-For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin
and death.
3-For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of
sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4-That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5-For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things
of the Spirit.
6-For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7-Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8-So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9-But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have
not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
Ephesians 4: 1-16,
" 1-I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation
wherewith ye are called,
2-With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3-Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4-There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5-One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6-One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7-But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8-Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto
men.
9-(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the
earth?
10-He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill
all things.)
11-And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and
teachers;
12-For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body
of Christ:
13-Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect
man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14-That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind
of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15-But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ:
16-From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,
according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in
love."
It is very important that we connect the entire process of God man and
Godliness with the measure to which we know and grow in Jesus Christ, not only and our Lord and Savior, but also the very
breath that we breathe and the life that we are. Galatians 2: 20,21, "20-I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by
the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave
himself for me. 21- I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness
come by the law then Christ is dead in vain."
