About the Journey

The journey is about God, of learning about and living the purpose of God in creation, for humans

   The journey is about getting to know God, and the purpose of God in creation, particularly, the creation of the human being. I say human being, because God started with one and out of that one Two; and with two, the human race being to multiply. It is not as though the human is more important than any othe part of God's creation, however, God had and has a plan and a purpose; a question is posed by the writer of one of Psalms: as the Psalmist says in Psalm 8; "4- What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5- For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6- Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7-  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8-The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9- O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thou name in all the earth." From this we see that there is a special place and purpose that God has for man or humans. Always remember that the male without the female is incomplete, with that which makes him whole. the fact that there are many single humans, males and females, does not make void or invalid the word, the plan and purpose of God. Understanding the divine connection and importance of male and female is a vital part of The Diivine Imperative. God has sent forth His word to this effect and put His name to is. Isaiah 55: 11; 51: 16. God's word, name and God's very nature is on the line. and God sealed it with a blood covenant.

The person, on the journey

     In this case the person on the Journey is me. It could be you; in fact it is in a sense the journey of every human. It is beyond gender, for it reaches down, and up to touch the longings, needs and desires of and in the human heart. I speak most intimately of the things of a male because that is what I am, most immediately and obviously.
     Here are some of the things that I wonder about. It is in the longings for that which is beyond our human control that I speak of. There are things that goes beyond, gender, beyond age, beyond, race, beyond national orgin; and yet all of these things do indeed affect the reality of the life that we live. Each human journey through the land of all of these things in life is the lot of every person, no matter what their state or station in life is. There are things like, life, and striving to survive in the midst of a world that is divided in the hearts and minds and lives of so many of us. There are things like, family, education, jobs, getting married, having children. There are things like the good and the evil that we confront in the world in which we live. There are things like growing old, sickness, deseases and death, and all of the things that make up these issues in time and space.
     As a human being there is a common need in all of us to love and be loved for who we are as an individual, or at least who we have come to know or think we know ourselves to be. We all have that biological need to procreate, in spite of what may or may not happen to us, in the society in which we live. No matter who we are or where we live there is a deep need to be accepted by the people that make up the environment in which we choose to live. And even though we accept the definitions that are put upon us, we like to think that we somehow had a choice, no matter how small, in the things that define who we are.

Philippians 3
1   Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2   Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3   For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
4   Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5   Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6   Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7   But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8   Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9   And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10   * That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11   If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12   Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13   Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14   I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15   Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16   Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
17   Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
18   (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19   Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20   For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21   Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

2 Peter 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Revelation 13:15
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

     All these things speak about the journey that I am on, For me it is primary that I know God, and in knowing God it is also a journey of learning to obey that which I learn. It sounds like a relatively easy thing, however, it is no easy task obeying God, and it is impossible to obey the things of God in the flesh, It is said the the natural man receive not the things of the Spirit, neither can he know them for they are spiritually discerned. 1Corthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

There is a joy for me in striving to know the and to do that which God desires of me. Even when the way is hard and the going get tough, there is a joy. a part of the joy for me is in the fact that I know that God is real. In the book of Malachi the writer gives a word and message from God saying: "Malachi 3
9   Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10   Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11   And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of host."

One of the things in this passage that has always been a great blessing to me is the point where God says and I will rebuke the devourer for your sake.

* That I may know Him,...The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge

     The Bible says of God, from the book of Acts, " God that made the orld and all things therein dwelleth not in temples made with hands; - Neither is wishipped with man's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life and breath and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men (humans) for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;" ....Acts 17: 24-26 ....
