On the journey there is God's Goal and there are our goals

God's Goal For Creation

The Goal that God has for humans is that they be the image and the likeness of the invisible God, in and throughout all creation. This includes having dominion over all the works of God's hands. It is what God said to Moses as God was preparing him to lead the children of Israel; God told moses that he would be as God unto Aaron and would be his prophet; "Exodus 4:16   And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God."
. In this God was revealing a divine principle that would apply to the people and the prophets of God. If was a practical definition of the ministry of a prophet. This was how the bible based prophet was to operate. This principle and definition was to be applied to both the Old and the New Teatament prophet. Therefore it can truly be said that the acid test of a prophet of God was in that the thinh that a true prophet say will come to pass. I have always wondered about a prophet in training, and the things that a prophet in training say, that do not come to pass; is there some sort of leway for the prophet in training?
The primary goal in our lives is to know about the life that we are. To grow from thinking that we are the center of the universe, to realizing that we are a part of the universe. As we realize that we are not the center of the univese, we will begin to see that people live and die and there is nothing that we can do to prevent death from coming. It is the need, the desire and the drive to understand the life force that we are and are a part of, that which we long to know and understand more about.
     As we learn more and more about life, there is the tendency to try to control life, both from a natural and a spiritual prospective. And with all that we learn the more we realize that we, as individulas, or as a group, have little or no control over this we call life. There is a passage in the bible that is precious to me, Philippians 3:10, 11 "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11   If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

John 1
3   All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4   In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5   And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

To me it is clear that whether you are speaking in terms of life or whether you refer to it as eternal life, life is God and the life of humans are in God.

John 17:2
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
(Whole Chapter: John 17 In context: John 17:1-3)

2 Peter 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
(Whole Chapter: 2 Peter 1

There is in the book of Psalms a passage where It is said of God and the physical body of the humans:
Psalm 139:14
14   I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Revelation 13:15
"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
(Whole Chapter: Revelation 13 )" It is interesting that the he which is spoken of in the section of Revelations listed above is not God, yet, it was given unto him, power to give life unto the image of the beast. ultimately it is only God who has the power to give life. It can be seen it the creation scenario of Genesis 1 and 2 that God gave the ability in all life to bring forth after their kind; therefore when humans and even all that has life it it act in accordance with the divine plan, they have the power to bring forth after their own kind. In Genesis Chapter 1:
11   And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12   And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Joseph's Goal

The goals that I have set in my live is to know how  my life and the plans that I have for it fit within the plans that are from God. It is my belief that no matter how difficult it may be to fulfill the dreams and desires that you may have, you must never, never, never give up. Though the way may be hard, the only thing that can stop you from fulfilling the dreams and desires that you have and the ones that God has for you is death.
In the journey through life our dreams and desires may got through many changes; still we must never give up on fulfilling them. The way may be hard, and long, we must never give up. Often we may have to walk alone or so it may seem, yet we must never give up. We must and can know that we are not alone. God has sent one to be with us no matter what we go through. That one which God has sent is the Holy Spirit, this is a well known truth and one that we take so lightly. It is said in one song that, oh what needless pain we bear all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.
As we go through life there are times when we feel as though our dream and desires go counter to those of God, at those times we must labour to harmonize our desires and dreams, or the preception of them with that  which is of God; no matter what happens, we must never give up on fulfilling that for which we were created and born.
It is a part my personal goal, to know that for which God has given me life. It is not always easy, to know God's will and purpose for your personal. Often in the world in which we live, there is so much information that we have available; we are often overwhelmed with the amount of information that is coming at us.

The World's Goal

The goals that the world has for our lives is that we flounder through life aimlessly with no real purpose. The sole purpose from the worlds prospective is that we live survive and die. The purpose that the world has for is that which the world has take from God and put their own stamp on. This would not be bad in and of itself, however, to use that which is of God and not give God the glory, is like, cheating on a test in school or using quotes from another author without quoting the source. But this is the way of the world.
In all fairness, the world is not some non-discript entity without beginning or without end. The world is people, people who have refusedto do that which God has commanded. It is the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden, who when God had commanded them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, was convinced of Lucifer to do it his way rather than doing it God's way. It does not matter what the tree of the knowledge of good and evil really consisted of, it was more a matter of doing what God had commanded. in the book of 2 Peter 1:3
"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:" So, there is nothing that we need in the life nor in the life to come that God has not given unto us. It is necessary to realize that it is through and in the knowlege of who God and Jesus Christ is that the things we have need of comes to us. The world's system of things think and insist on have things and doing things contrary to God.
When we look at the world as the system and the things that oppose the Plan of God, Then the purpose of the world is that we do any thing and every thing that destroys the plan that God has for our live, as well as the lives of others that can and will be affected by the things that we do, and say.             1 John 2:15-17
"15   Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16   For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17   And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
Always, we must keep in mind that when God, through the writer of 1 John,    tells us not to love the world God is speaking of loving the world more than loving the father. God has give us an example in the in John 3:16 God said: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
